So I have a long story on how I got here. I am going to try and keep this short. I was born with a congenital heart disease called Tetrology of Fallot. Originally they thought my heart murmur would close up and I would live a normal life however at my 6 month check up, things changed abruptly. I passed out during my appointment and was swooped up by the staff and flown to Duke University for immediate open heart surgery. I would later have two other heart surgeries replacing my pulmonary valve at the age of 15 and 25 years old. I was not able to play any contact sports however really excelled at baseball. When I was 15 years old I was 140 lbs at the time of my open heart surgery. After the surgery I was 120 lbs soaking wet. After about six months I was fully recovered and due to the weight loss I wanted to get in the gym and try and gain some muscle. Baseball now was a secondary thought as all I could think about was how skinny I had become. I told my parents I want to get huge. Of course any parent would have doubts in regards to their son wanting to lift weights after open heart surgery. It took some time but after months and years they realized I just absolutely loved it. They are now some of my biggest supporters at my competitions. I continued lifting the remainder of high school but really fell in love with powerlifting. I stayed pretty serious however would take summers off from lifting and just enjoy myself. However around 20 years old I began to realize I was stronger than most of my college friends and really went all in on powerlifting. Throughout my time at UNC at Charlotte I won several competitions they would hold at the school gym.
Fast forward I continued to power lift designing programs for friends and giving advice throughout that time. I graduated college and started a career in law enforcement all while still powerlifting and designing my own programs. I later got into the insurance world becoming a claims adjuster. Through those years I continued to lift and progress physique wise. It all changed however in 2021 when I decided to do my first show and fell in love with the classic physique division. I have continued to compete these last couple of years with a few regional show class wins, while reaching a national level. I am still on the hunt for my pro card.
When I had my son in 2022, I realized why am I continuing my insurance career when I simply did not enjoy it and it was extremely stressful. So that has led me here starting my own business to provide better lives for individuals looking to become more fit. Whether it is to lose weight, develop muscle, become stronger, or to jump into the competition lifestyle as well. Fitness has played a huge role in my life. If I would have not gotten into fitness concerning my heart condition I don’t know where I would be.
Fitness changed my life, let me change yours.
